New Canon 50D digital SLR announced

The new Canon EOS 50D digital SLR, announced by Canon and expected to be released in October, has many of the same features as the EOS 40D, but, in comparison with the previous models it is of a higher quality because of some new features.

This is the first camera which uses Canons new DIGIC IV image processor with its faster processing speed. Using this camera you can capture pictures (up to 90 Large/Fine JPEGs or 16 RAW images on a UDMA CF card) at 6.3fps in burst mode. So you wont miss the most important events of your life!

Your photographs will look better thanks to increasing the resolution to 15.1 megapixels, doubling the ISO to 12,800 and Auto Lighting Optimizer! It doesnt only optimize the quality of your images while they are being taken, but also during playback. You will be able to improve your pictures even without a computer!

Now you can enjoy viewing photos not only on a TV set (via HDMI output of the camera), but also on the 3-inch Clear View screen (which is four times the pixel count of the 40D model).

The price of this model is $1399 body only and $1599 with a 28-135mm lens.
