letsgodigital.orgA digital SLR camera that doesn't seem to differ too much from the EOS 400D but is in fact a much better camera. A camera that surprises too.
steves-digicams.comThe Canon EOS Rebel XSi is whole lot of camera for an entry-level model. It's stellar performance and superb image quality offer a lot to the first-time dSLR user.
the-digital-picture.comEven compared to the not-very-old Canon Rebel XTi / 400D, the Canon EOS Rebel XSi / 450D delivers better image quality from a more attractive body with more features ... I'm very pleased (actually somewhat surprised) with the improvements delivered by the Canon EOS Rebel XSi / 450D. It will be a worthwhile upgrade for many XTi / 400D owners - it is a lot of camera for the money for anyone purchasing it.
digitaltrends.comIt’s very easy to recommend the Canon Rebel XSi. It’s a fast-focusing, speedy D-SLR that delivers excellent photos both indoors and outside.
bobatkins.comThe XSi seems simple enough for anyone to use at the default settings, but offers a large degree of manual control for those who want to move beyond the basics. Exposure and autofocus seem accurate, color rendition is good (similar to the EOS 40D) and noise is well controlled. You could think of the XSi as pretty much an "EOS 40D Lite", with similar performance and handling, but with a few less features.
popphoto.comOn top of all this, the XSi comes with an Optical Image Stabilizer kit lens at no extra cost over the non-IS lens. ... given the capabilities of the Rebel XSi, as well as its price, it's one very sweet deal.
photoreview.com.auCanon is obviously targeting photographers who wish to move into DSLR photography by its choice of SD and SDHC media for its new EOS 450D model. Although it may upset CF card devotees, it's a smart move.
chromewalker.comIt is definitely not a professional camera, and the images just do not feel as well defined as pictures taken with a high end camera. However, the camera definitely fills the niche and void that it is looking to fill and I think it’s a pretty good piece of equipment that I will be enjoying for some time.
