Canon EOS 450D / Digital Rebel XSi

23 January 2008 Canon has announced new entry-level Digital SLR Camera EOS 450D (Digital Rebel XSi in US). New dslr camera is continue to the previous 400D model and it seems to be very similar, but 450D has much of improvements.

The new model features a 12.2-megapixel CMOS sensor, EOS Integrated Cleaning System, a 3-inch LCD (that's 50% brighter than the one on the 400D) and now with Live view - the debut of such tech on a consumer model from Canon, and a new 9-point AF system.

Canon has also updated the image processing engine to the current DIGIC III image processor found on other higher-end Canon DSLRs, which means faster response times and 14-bit analogue-to-digital conversion – all of which should mean an improvement in image quality.

The EOS 450D will also be offered as a bundle together with a newly redesigned version of the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens, which now has Canon’s Image Stabiliser built-in.

Let's look at primary improvements of new Canon EOS 450D against previous EOS 400D:
